Why Trevor Lawrence Shouldn’t Spurn Jets if Selected No. 1 Overall

Some in the media are spreading a narrative that, if the Jets are in position to select Trevor Lawrence No. 1 overall, the future NFL star should go back to school and spurn New York. They blame “the Jets” as not being a place.

Roddy White told the Big Lead just this. In addition, Emmanuel Acho and former No. 2 overall pick LaVar Arrington basically said the same thing on FS1’s Speak for Yourself.

This is a completely misguided approach and not the whole truth to their argument. In their arguments, they left key pieces out, and it’s mostly likely because they just wanted to paint the picture that the Jets are bad for Trevor Lawrence.

Here’s why they’re wrong in their assessments.
