The NFL has managed to pull off two full weeks with zero positive COVID-19 tests amongst players.
This is a remarkable success considering the 53-man roster size of an NFL team and the lack of a bubble. A congratulatory pat-on-the-back is in order for both the NFL operations team and team officials charged with executing this mitigation plan.
However, there are whispers of dissension around the league.
Old dogs refuse to learn new tricks, and that goes double for football coaches. It was reported on Monday evening that Denver head coach Vic Fangio, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll, and San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan were each fined $100,000 for their non-compliance with sideline rules requiring face coverings.

That being said, there is a certain measure of respect that is due to men who live their lives entirely on principle.

If they are forced to wear masks, how will they use laminated play sheets to hide their mouths from the view of cameras and other spying devices?
