Week 1 Review: Seattle Seahawks Win Against the Atlanta Falcons

Russell Wilson and company were able to hold off Atlanta’s late push to seal a victory, 38-25. Wilson and Matt Ryan traded punches throughout the game, and various wide receivers had big games. Big offensive plays were made throughout this game. Jamal Adams shined in his debut as a Seahawk, and Russell Wilson was near perfect, going 31-of-35.

Wide Receivers

Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage all had over 100 yards in the game on Sunday. D.K. Metcalf caught a touchdown, along with a pair of touchdowns for Chris Carson. Veteran tight end, Greg Olsen also caught his first touchdown as Seahawk in his debut. So, huge day for wide receivers all day in this game

Defense

Jamal Adams was very impressive in his Seattle debut. Totaling eight tackles and one sack, and making a number of plays in this game. Overall, Seattle’s defense played well enough to get the win on the road. Atlanta’s defense on the other hand, struggled to contain Russell Wilson all day today. Russell Wilson’s stat line was as follows: 31-of-35 for 322 yards passing, with four passing touchdowns. He also ran for 29  yards on three carries.

Conclusion

What an impressive Seahawk win on the road today. Offense looked stellar and the defense was very solid all game long. The game plan was executed to near perfection and The Seahawks simply outperformed Atlanta through four quarters. One-for-one on Seattle’s win/loss record predictions so far.
